He was suspended from the Labour Party after he allegedly offered £10 million to anyone who captured George Bush and Barack Obama.
He reportedly said, whilst in Pakistan last week, ''If the US can announce a reward of $10 million for ... Hafiz Saeed, I can announce a bounty of £10 million [for the capture of] President Obama and his predecessor, George Bush''
Hafiz Saeed is a Pakistani militant leader with alleged links to Osama bin Laden.
Lord Ahmed has in the past allegedly threatened to "bring a force of 10,000 Muslims to lay siege to the Lords'' if the anti-Islamist Dutch MP Geert Wilders was allowed to speak.

UPDATE: Pakistani newspaper The Express Tribune has corrected the original article. Apparently, Lord Ahmed actually offered to raise £10 million to bring George Bush and Tony Blair before the International Criminal Court for ''war crimes''. Meanwhile, Respect MP and Islamicist George Galloway invited Lord Ahmed to join his party saying; ''I think the suspension of Lord Nazir Ahmed indicates that New Labour is on some sort of suicide mission so far as the Muslim vote goes. Lord Nazir is a great figure - not politically close to me - among the Asian heritage population of Britain and is now suspended from the Labour party, as I myself was. So let me extend to him an invitation to fill in an application form and join Respect."
